Right Dress Code and Professionalism During Interview
I’ve been working as Staffing Consultant for quiet sometimes and long enough to observes why some candidates manage to get job while others don’t. People always said that”First impression is the last impression” ![]()
There was an incident happened last two week with two different candidates. The first guy who met me, he is a qualify Accountant and desperately look for job. After I reviewed his resume, I can see that he possessed very good experience. However, during the interview I felt a bit uncomfortable due to his bad breath. It was so bad until every minute during our conversation I must force him to drink water. Hope to reduce the smell. They way he dress up like people just wake up from sleep, messy hair and wrinkle shirt.Despite of his appearance, this guy look forward to work with International organization with at least 6k income per month and start to tell me all grandma, grandpa storey, as if will take under consideration. I wouldn’t mine to place him at any of my client place, if he know how to take care of his image. I’m just afraid, the moment I sent him for the interview, the client could back fire me because sending somebody that doesn’t meet their expectation.![]()
The second candidate was a lady. She came over to my office looking for Sales job. No doubt she have a pleasant look. Wearing tight T-shirt with bermuda. No resume, not presentable and not impress at all although she got the look.Tips “Do & Don’t” during interview‘DO‘
